小時候在看灰姑娘的卡通聽到這首歌時，並沒有太多感觸，可能一來因為女主角的唱腔非常"標準"，二來懵懂無知對於夢想什麼的不甚理解。大了一點某一天偶然聽到這版本(雖然很久遠了2005)，覺得甚為好聽，多人組唱的單曲因為每個人的唱腔各有特色，組合起來竟別有一番風格，也不會難聽。且重新編曲偏向活潑、小流行感，因此很適合給年輕人聽，因為如此開始回去細細品嘗歌詞，才發現歌詞中的感動跟用意。尤其聽完後會覺得，嗯嗯嗯(點頭)，非常同意！每當我們有夢想，有時覺得沒人了解，甚至夢想永遠也到達不了，但只要你持續相信，你所許下的夢想終會實現。

⭐ 英文重點：

1. A dream is a wish 

Hope 跟 Wish常常會被搞混使用，雖兩者都是" 希望"的意思，但有含意上的差別，簡單來說：

(名詞)

-Hope: 希望。

-Wish：心願、祝福、願望。

(動詞)

- Hope ：是用來表達過去、現在、未來，"可能發生的事"

                例如：I hope it is not raining now. 我希望現在沒在下雨。

                           I" hope he will come to my birthday party. 我希望他會來我的生日派對。

- Wish：是用來表達與"現在事實相反"或"不太可能發生的事"，而因為與事實相反通常會搭配過去式。

            例如：I wish I were a Superman. 我希望我是超人。

                       I wish I had never met you. 我希望我從未見過你。

補充：I was VS I were?

"I were"用以描述“過去”、“現在”或“未來”，與事實不符的假設語氣。

"I was"是“過去”的情況，並不能表示與現實不符的情況。

  

             或是用來表達"祝福"的話，例如：I wish you a happy birthday!我祝你生日快樂！

2. When you're fast asleep
- Sleep 和 Asleep也是容易常搞混的兩個字

Sleep 可以是動詞或名詞

例如：The dog is sleeping right now. 狗狗正在睡覺。(動詞)

          Did you get enough sleep? 你有得到足夠的睡眠了嗎?(你睡夠了嗎?) (名詞)

Asleep 是形容詞，用以形容一個人正熟睡。通常前面會加be 動詞

例如：The dog is asleep right now.狗狗睡著了。(跟上方狗狗正在睡覺其實是同一件事)

          You were asleep when I tried to call you last night. (昨晚我試著打給你的時候你睡著了)

- 我們會用  fall asleep 來形容要進入睡眠狀態的起始。to describe the moment of beginning sleep:

例如： I fell asleep in class. 我在班上睡著了。

 

-fast asleep 裡的fast 不是快的意思，而是牢牢地、牢固，因此表示"熟睡"的意思。

例如：He is fast sleep. 他睡得很熟。(他正在熟睡中)

3. In dreams you will loose your heartache

   -"ache" 為字根時，有" 疼痛"的意思。

     例如：Headache  頭痛

                Toothache  牙痛

                Stomachache  肚子痛

4. Have faith in your dreams and someday

- 如跟人說 Have faith! 就是請對方要有信心。 

  例如：Have faith! Things will be just fine.

- 而要說對某事有信心的話，就加in ，Have faith in + 事 

-Belief 跟faith是因英文裡常令人困惑的兩個詞，

都有相信、信仰、信任的意思，但涵義上略有不同。最明顯的差異是，”faith”比較像是一種感覺，無法被明確解釋或移轉。”Belief”則較是一種想法或觀念，較能被表達說明出來。

例如：I have faith in humanity. 我對人性有信心。

           My belief is that all men are equal. 我的信念就是人皆平等。

5. No matter how your heart is grieving    悲傷、悲悼，對某事感到悲傷是to grieve about + 事。    例如：It is no use grieving about the past. 對往事懊悔傷心無濟於事。

6. If you keep on believing    Keep是保持、持續，Keep on doing something就是持續進行某事。    跟Keep 相關常見片語：

• keep an eye on 留心，注意
• keep away from 遠離，迴避
• keep sth in mind 記住某事
• keep in mind 記住
• keep in touch保持聯絡
• keep calm保持冷靜
• keep the change （零錢）不用找了
• keep a promise遵守諾言
• keep a low profile保持低調

7. Thinking no-one can hear you at all
    -" at all" 有以下用法：

       (1) 表示根本不、一點也不，多用於否定句。

            例如：I don't think you understand me at all. 我認為你一點都不了解我。

       (2) 用在追究跟疑問，表示難道不? 到底有沒有？
             例如：Have you ever written the work at all? 你到底有沒有寫那份作業？

       (3) 用在強調條件語句，表示假如、既然。
             例如：If you do it at all, do it well. 既然要做，就把它做好。
       (4) " not at all" 則是多用來表達感謝。

              例如： A: I want to thank you for helping me the other day. 我想要感謝你那天的幫忙。
                          B: Not at all! 不用客氣！
8. 單字：

我真的很喜歡這一首歌，聽了會很開心，會重新作夢跟想像。

這首歌是迪士尼的電影Enchanted(曼哈頓奇緣)的片尾曲，電影雖然有點久遠了(2007)，但是歌曲不衰退很耐聽。故事講述一個童話世界的女生來到真實世界一連串驚奇以及愛情交織的故事。整個電影風格可愛逗趣，這首片尾曲也是為電影做一個充滿希望的正向鼓勵，讓人重新相信想像是有可能實現的 (還有真愛，笑~)。

1. Fairy tails coming true

- Come true直接翻譯是"來真的"XD ，其實就是成真的意思。

   例如，如果要說夢想成真，就是dream come true。

- 其他表示某事應驗也有: be realized, be fulfilled, to become a reality (ex: My dream has become a reality.')

2. Your your heart on your sleeves

此句話是出自莎士比亞《奧賽羅》：

但也可形容一個人太容易顯露出自己的感情跟內心，容易被利用的另外隱喻。

  則是指人另有妙計或留有一招的意思。

- afraid 畏懼，跟of 一起用

- Wind up 指陷入、落得....(通常指比較不得已的狀況之中)

- 也意指最後結果為....同義常用的: end up, settle...等

- 若寫成wind-up 則當名詞，指故意讓人惱怒的捉弄。

例如：Are you telling me something that is serious or is this a wind-up? 你是在告訴我一件嚴肅的事情，還是在故意開玩笑？

6. You just might breakthrough

- break 打破   through有經過、透過的意思

兩者合起來即為"突破、重大進展"的意思

例如：There is a major breakthrough in the search for the missing vessel. 迷失船隻的搜索有了重大突破。

-breakthrough 連在一起當名詞使用，break through 中間有空一格為動詞。

7. Your head feel it's spinning

-Spin 旋轉，所以當你的頭一直在旋轉則是快暈過去，或是某件事令你困惑(頭腦打結了)的意思。

-make one's head spin.令某人昏眩、暈頭轉向或困惑

例如：The charts filled with numbers make my head spin. 這些充滿數字的表格要讓我頭昏了。
